Last winter I wrote a DIY article for UCSD's Fashion Quarterly Magazine on how to revamp old shoes/heels for only $5. I used my old high school graduation heels and stuck a bunch of studs on it (studs ordered from studsandspikes.com). I was inspired by Christian Louboutin's studded heels and decided to make a pair of my own (although not nearly as amazing as his!) Here are the steps if you wanna give it a try!
Step 1: With a pen or pencil mark where you want to place the studs
Step 2: With a safety pin, or any sharp needle-like tool, poke holes into the shoes to make it easier for studs to be inserted
Step 3: Insert the studs into the poked holes and with a pair of pliers secure the studs into place (this step will take the longest and your fingers will probably get tired!)
