DIY 15 Minute Wreath

12.11.2013

Materials:
Undecorated wreath (Mine was $8 from Target)
Large and small ornaments (Target & 99 Cent Store)
Pine cones (Found them outside and on an old decorative plant)
Scissors
String

Step 1: String the smaller ornaments in groups of 3
Step 2: Tie them onto the wreath
Step 3: Get your pine cones
Step 4: Loop your string through the bottom of the pine cones and tie them onto the wreath
Step 5: Get your larger ornaments
Step 6: Tie them on and you're done!

This is a very quick and easy wreath you can make in about 15 minutes and costs a total of $10. I think the trick to creating a quick yet visually pleasing wreath is to stick to a color scheme of no more than 3-4 colors. Having different sized ornaments will also create some nice dimension to make it a little more interesting. There are so many more creative ways to decorate a wreath, but they usually take a lot more time to plan and create. I'm usually too tired to do anything after work so this was the quick and easy solution to decorating without exhausting the last bit of energy inside of me.

If you have any other tips for a quick and easy wreath please feel free to share! This is the first wreath I've ever decorated so I'm still learning and hope to improve on this skill for the next year.
